Born in Cupey, Puerto Rico. Grammy nominee, BMI and ASCAP Award winning producer, songwriter and performing artist Yeyo787 is a pioneer of the Latin Urban movement. The creator of the now infamous Latin Hip Hop group Shanghai Assassinz went to achieve critical acclaim with the formation of his sophomore group, The DEY, this Sony/EPIC signed group garnered comparisons to the Fugees and Black Eyed Peas, being the first Latin act to be signed directly to a Major label while performing bi-lingual songs. After platinum sales and several world tours the group disbanded and Yeyo787 continued working as a producer and songwriter while fighting for his rights to drop his solo material. He has worked with the likes of Timbaland, Stargate, Swizz Beats, Dr. Luke, amongst other legendary figures in the music game. He continues to work with established and upcoming artists from his recording facilities in Miami and is now poised to drop his long awaited solo album “Nunca es Tarde” dropping this year 2020.
